Meine Bachelorthesis ist ein Projection Mapping auf einer Miniatur des Hessischen Staatstheaters. Mittels Animation wird die Fassade zum Leben erweckt und führt das Publikum durch diese Installation. Die Story beschreibt abstrakt die Reise des Lichts. Sie beginnt mit dem Aufprall und verfolgt es bis zu seinem Ursprung. Die Installation ist 8:17 Minuten lang, was exakt so lang ist, wie Licht von der Sonne zu uns braucht. Diese Arbeit ist ein Lösungsansatz für eine durch die Pandemie aufgetane Problematik und soll zeigen, dass es möglich ist in diesen Zeiten ein Projection Mapping zu machen

My bachelor thesis is about the topic of projection mapping onto a miniature of the Hessiches Staatstheater. The building’s facade comes to life with the help of animations which guide the audience through this installation.

The story describes the journey of light in an abstract manner. It begins with a collision and traces it back to its origin. The installation lasts for 08:17 minutes which is the exact amount of time light requires to travel from the sun to us. This project is an approach on how to solve a problem that has arisen due to the pandemic and goes to show that even now projection mapping is still possible.
