Bruno Podesta
Bruno hat eigentlich für Zwei gelebt. Im Krieg aufgewachsen, wurde der heute 88-Jährige, neunfache Seniorenweltmeister im Radsport schnell zur Selbstständigkeit gezwungen. Er war mit seinem Erfolg im Sport, als auch im Beruf nicht zu bremsen. Ein ereignisreiches Leben neigt sich dem Ende und die Familie, die für Bruno immer an zweiter Stelle stand, fängt ihn auf. Sein Leben erzählt viel über das älter werden, die Suche nach Bestätigung und Glück sowie die Rolle des Mannes in unserer Gesellschaft und zeigt, dass außergewöhnliche Dinge von Nahem betrachtet eigentlich ganz gewöhnlich sind.

Bruno has really lived two lives. Growing up in the war the now 88 year old nine time biking senior world champion was forced to become independent early. He was unstoppable both in his athletic and professional endeavors. Now that an eventful life is reaching its zenith, the family that had always been secondary to Bruno is there to catch him. His life reveals much about growing older, the search for affirmation and happiness, and the role of the man in our society. It shows that extraordinary things when looked at more closely can really be quite ordinary.
